The serial HD documentary “River Knot” records the whole Lancang River, as well as human environment, economy, culture, religious civilization and people’s lives along Mekong River. The documentary expounds the important strategic position of Lancang River and Mekong River; and displays the abundant natural resources. It also discusses the possibility of exploitation.

China Central Television cooperates with other TV stations in five neighbor countries which are along the Mekong River, including Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Burma and Vietnam to produce this documentary. This documentary is produced by high definition technology and digital stereo audio. It is supposed to be aired in 2007.
