The Animation "Shaolin HAIBAO" centers around boy of the great river gaining a special gift HAIBAO by accident which gathered the energy of kindness. In order to stop the disaster that human beings faced, they came to Shaolin temple to learn Kungfu, and began to fight with dark gods of war who got the evil power, and finally they bore the victory.
Time and space changed, the earth faced great crisis. To stop dark gods of war getting the busshari, to protect Shaolin temple and improve their kungfu, boy of great river, HAIBAO and their companion Fan Xin-qie, a little dog—Douglas crossed the remote time and space channel to come to Shaolin to learn Kungfu. Boy of the great river got a great improvement in Kungfu by the conduction of Master Kongkong. He finished the combination of all types of kungfu and at last accomplished his one matchless martial art—leap. HAIBAO took use of his high-tech energy of the future world to help boy of the great river head off a disaster over and over again. Thus, boy of the great river and HAIBAO reached a tacit understanding when they were along with each other harmoniously. They would combine into one to be the super Shaolin HAIBAO when they met danger, then defeated the rivals. During the battle with dark warriors, master Kongkong told them a secret that the only one trick to prevail dark warriors was “HE ZI JUE”…

时空发生改变，地球面临危机。为了阻止黑暗战神拿到佛舍利、保护少林寺、提升自己的武功，大河小子、海宝和同伴番西茄、小狗道格拉斯穿越时空隧道，从现代来到古代中土的少林寺拜师习武， 大河小子在空空大师的指导下，学练藏经阁秘笈，武功精进，完成了各家功夫之融合，并最后实现无招胜有招的飞跃；海宝利用自己所掌握的未来世界的高科技能量，使大河小子一次又一次化险为夷。而大河小子和海宝也在朝夕相处中变得更加默契，每遇险境，他们两个就会“合二为一”，组成超级无敌的少林海宝，打败敌手。在与黑暗战神的决战中，空空大师向少林海宝道出武功的最高境界是“止戈”后，告诉了他们一个秘密：战胜黑暗战神的必杀技叫做“和字决” 。
达摩洞内机关密布，大河小子和海宝率先走进洞穴。洞外，黑暗战神和空空大师展开激战，空空大师舍身涅槃。少林海宝一次次顽强站起来，并和黑暗战神同时触摸到了舍利，一瞬间，祖先的智慧光芒让少林海宝顿悟，他们口念“和字诀”，张开双臂放弃武力，与黑暗战神拥抱在一起，昔日的对手开始融和，善与恶、阴与阳相互交融------原来佛舍利的真正力量不是发出能量，而是用宽容、理解、沟通的力量将不可调和的矛盾化解圆融，从而回归复和谐的平衡——
