Taiji 42 forms

Taiji was created by Chen Wangting from Henan province, China in the transitional period from Ming to Qing Dynasty. He had incorporated theories from a classic text by General Qi Jiguang and breathing methodology from Taoism into the prototype of Taiji. The physical techniques of Taiji are being characterized by the use of leverage through the joints based on coordination in relaxation, rather than muscular tension, in order to neutralize or initiate attacks. The slow, repetitive work involved in the process of learning how that leverage is generated gently and measurably increases and opens the internal circulation.

Xingyi Quan

Originating in the period from the end of Ming Dynasty to the beginning of Qing Dynasty, Xingyi Quan is a martial art highly focusing coordinating the motion of practitioners’ entire body along with their minds. This is achieved by coordinating one's body as a single unit and the intense focusing of one's energy flow, called Qi.
