In the immense universe far away, a dark planet which preyed on other planets frequently moved around the constellation. The number of planets in the universe therefore decreased sharply. Among those surviving planets, there was a mysterious and gorgeous Rainbow Planet. Thanks to its protective cover made up of seven colors, the colorful planet has been avoided from being swallowed.

Unfortunately, the seven countries on the Rainbow Planet were not aware of the big crisis. The desire of power drove them into endless battles against each other fighting for the state glory. Wars have undermined and weakened the protective power of the seven lights.

King Blackhole, the commander in chief of the Dark Planet was eager to conquer the Rainbow Planet. He sent his son, Zebra Prince to penetrate into the Rainbow Planet in order to demolish the balance of the seven powers internally.

When wars among the seven countries were unlikely to be over and only desire of power commuted among the nations in the planet, Fredo, a peculiar peace-seeker came in and declared to change the destiny of the planet. He had no desire of power. Yet full of sincerity in his heart, he gradually influenced a lot of people who met him. He smoothed the conflicts between the hostile nations and persuaded all the nations living in the Rainbow Planet to unite in defending their home against the Dark Planet.

在距离银河系很多很多光年的宇宙中，有一个美丽的星系，星系中每一颗行星都有七彩斑斓的颜色，这上面所有的生物体都是金属和机器构成。沧海桑田，各个行星也渐渐衍生出灿烂辉煌的文明。然而在很久很久后的一天，这个彩色星系的浩劫降临。

　　远方来到的宇宙掠夺者黑洞大王意图兼并这个星系，黑洞大王的星球也就是他的庞大太空船专门靠吞噬其他行星维持能量。最后星系中只剩下其中最大最美丽的彩虹星幸免于难，因为该星有红、橙、黄、绿、青、蓝、紫七个国家，七种颜色混合成一道彩虹光保护着这个星球，使黑洞大王无从下嘴。

　　然而黑洞大王之子斑马王子了解到，因为颜色的不同，这七个国家长期战争，连年无休。只要等到其中一种颜色被消灭，七色圣光护罩就会消失，彩虹星也就最终成为黑洞飞船的食粮。斑马王子还主动请缨，率领忠实手下黑骑士悄悄潜入彩虹星进行离间行动，企图加剧七国之间的争战，使某一个国家能尽快消灭。

　　看着彩虹星的混乱现状，彩虹星大长老无敌伯爵深深担忧，再这样下去彩虹星就会走上自我毁灭的道路。于是召集了七位国王进行和平谈判，挑选出一位大统帅做为星球最高领导，结束战争。谁知会上国王们一言不合，又再大打出手。不但和平幻想破灭，无敌伯爵还被打成残废机器。

　　伯爵幸得到一位孤儿救助，重获新生，只可惜身体换成了一个只能勉强代步的鹿身，无法去继续完成拯救星球的使命。他唯有将所有希望寄托在这位没有任何颜色，也没有任何智慧，更没有任何战斗技能的孤儿身上。由于一问三不知，伯爵只好称呼他为灰溜溜。

　　灰溜溜就这样糊里糊涂地肩负起了救世主的重要使命。按照无敌伯爵的初步构想，首先是要把灰溜溜培养成为超级战士，以至尊的武力压制星球上所有势力，成为最高统帅之后下令结束战争。

　　然而斑马王子这时也来到了彩虹星球，他的计划和无敌伯爵不谋而合，也是夺取这个星球的领导权，但却要将七国之间的战争进一步升级。这样，两个负担着相反使命的战士在彩虹星展开了一场爆笑惊险的善恶大对决。

　　灰溜溜是个无知无畏的战士，彩虹星的所有人都只当他是个白痴。但他凭借着一颗善良的心和不惧困难的精神，在彩虹星长途跋涉，逐一说服七位国王，使他们逐渐认识到了战争给他们带来的苦痛和危害。而斑马王子不断施展阴谋诡计，挑拨离间，明抢暗夺，要将灰溜溜置诸死地。但终究邪不胜正，虽然胜负形势数度易手，灰溜溜也历尽艰险，终于劝服所有种族放下武器和相互间的成见，签订了和平协议。

　　黑洞大王盛怒之下，率领黑洞飞船的全部军队御驾亲征，在冒死穿越彩虹光保护罩的同时，发生了能量裂变，黑洞大王和白洞女王合成威力无穷而丧失理智的无敌杀戮机器。虽然彩虹七国王都派出了他们的超级机器人战士和灰溜溜联手，但还是节节败退。就在彩虹星即将毁灭的关头，长期和灰溜溜斗争的斑马王子却渐渐被灰溜溜的善良纯朴感染，还和他一齐并肩作战，来对抗自己邪恶的父亲！黑洞大王终于被打败，这个遥远的星系也得到了永远的和平。
