This series tells that Pipi, Nana, Supi decided to take a sea travel to seek the secrets of nature. They got a seacoast passenger ship from Uncle Hippo after undergoing all conceivable hardships and came to a magical island named “Volcanic Island”. They bought enough food and living goods in this island and started this adventurous traveling.

They built themselves a camp, and enjoyed the hot spring granted by the nature soon after they finished the camp. They also know a lot about the natural knowledge that they had never known before. But these good days didn’t last for so long. Great changes took place in the nature. They felt the premonitory symptoms of an earthquake, such as the abnormal behavior of the birds and animals, and the dry well etc. They three were stuck with panic. As the earthquake drawing near, they began to make the plan that how to avoid this big disaster, and the earthquake…

本剧讲述着皮皮，娜娜和酥皮为了探寻大自然的奥秘，三人决定出海旅行。他们历经千辛万苦终于从河马大叔那里得到了一艘沿岸客轮，来到了一座叫“火山岛”的神奇岛屿中，他们在岛上买足了粮食和生活用品，开始了这一段惊险刺激的旅行。

他们为自己搭建了一座帐篷，建好宿营地之后便开始享受着大自然提供的露天温泉，而且还了解到了很多以前不知道的自然知识。可这种好日子仅仅享受了数日，大自然终于发生了变化，他们感觉到了地震的前兆，例如鸟兽行为异常，井水干枯等等。三人惊慌失措。随着大地震的渐渐临近，皮皮三人开始计划如何躲避这场大灾难，地震开始爆发了，皮皮冷静的指挥大家，运用自己聪慧的头脑想出各种巧妙的办法逃生，历尽千辛万苦，最终在大地震后获得了一线生机，可万万没有想到，紧随着地震的又是一场巨大的海啸，迫使他们不得不向高处逃难。经过一系列惊险而刺激的逃生体验。等一切灾难结束后他们已经被掩埋在废墟之中，最终等到了救援队的到来。

在回去的路上，他们又遇见了那个河马大叔，他们重新走到了一起，开始了新的旅程。
